Japan Post Chooses FSC-Certified Paper for All 2022 New Year’s Cards

Japan Post Co., Ltd. (License code: FSC-N003561) has announced that all their New Year’s cards* for 2022 will be made from FSC-certified paper, which FSC Japan has been promoting. The initial publication will consist of 1,830,000,000 cards. 

Japan Post has committed to supporting global forest conservation and encouraging responsible consumption by changing its iconic New Year’s cards into FSC-certified and labelled cards. In doing so, the company is promoting the cultural continuity of sending these cards while using sustainable natural resources – showing that Japan Post cares for both forest biodiversity and local communities. The company also announced that they will start changing other postcards into FSC-certified cards.
