On the evening of June 3, 2024, FSC China hosted a multi-stakeholder engagement event in Beijing, celebrating FSC's 30 years of forest stewardship. Over 80 participants attended, offering sincere congratulations for this milestone. The event gathered guests from certification bodies (CBs), certificate holders (CHs), and promotional licence holders (PLHs) in China, along with representatives from the Chinese government, forestry academies, NGOs, FSC International Board Members, and the FSC China Advisory Committee (AC). Significantly, this event marks one of the first 30th-anniversary celebrations in the APAC region.
Held inside a historic courtyard house, the venue featured a time tunnel showcasing FSC China's impacts over the years. Guests reflected on past achievements and discussed future initiatives for FSC, providing an emotional conclusion to BM99.
Following a series of significant meetings, the team will head south for a field visit to Hainan Rubber Group. This visit includes discussions with enterprise leaders and an excursion to the rubber plantations, where China's first NTFPs FM/CoC certificate was issued.
