Charmaine outlined the importance of FSC Principles & Criteria and highlighted policies aimed at mitigating deforestation and promoting sustainable management across forests. The discussion pointed to FSC's certification processes as vital tools for ensuring forest operations contribute positively to environmental conservation and restoration.

The presentation also spotlighted the crucial role of sustainably sourced materials like timber and natural rubber in transitioning to a low-carbon economy, reinforcing the message that resilient forests are central to the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss. Charmaine underscored the necessity of nature-based solutions, particularly sustainably managed forests, in achieving Net Zero goals.
