Themed “Bright and White Forests”, the tree crown-inspired information counters were made of FSC-certified wood, as well as the centre hall reception of the main building to embrace the concept of sustainability.

Inspired by the same tree-crown design, designer chair series “Topo” made of FSC-certified wood were also developed and will be available for sale in the department store.

According to the Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd., FSC is the most reliable forest certification system in the world and awareness of sustainability are growing in construction and design for the store environment. Through the project, they hope they can promote sales and production of furniture, utensils and interior products using FSC-certified wood.
