On October 22, 2024, Dak Lak Rubber Joint Stock Company (Dakruco, FSC-C196797) celebrated its certification in FSC FM/CoC, along with compliance with the EU Deforestation-free Regulation (EUDR). This milestone represents a groundbreaking step as Dakruco dispatched its inaugural shipments of latex cargo to the EU and the US.
The ceremony featured Dr. Que Anh Vu, Country Manager of FSC Vietnam, who emphasized the importance of fostering FSC transparent supply chains that align with EUDR requirements. Representatives from Bureau Veritas Certification, Pan Nature, Forest Trends, local authorities, and Dakruco’s customers attended the event, highlighting this pioneering achievement for the company.
With 40 years of operation, Dakruco is the first company in Dak Lak province to secure and maintain a management system certification. The company has dedicated 1,200 hectares of its rubber plantations to FSC FM/CoC certification and has established long-term contracts to supply FSC-certified latex to three footwear manufacturers in Vietnam. Dakruco owns a total of 9,000 hectares of plantation and plans to expand FSC certification across its entire area, leveraging its EUDR compliance for enhanced market opportunities.
